Konichiwa...
Was treated to lunch at Raffles Marina the other day by the MD of a known Japanese company. Had an $8.50 plate of nasi goreng, while overlooking the straits of Johor and the second link. Not bad a place. Something different. This MD is the best I have ever met. In the morning he served us green tea. For lunch we sat in his BMW and went to Raffles Marina. Later during tea time, he personally served us arabia coffee and oreo cheesecake from Dome. Putting the difficulty of understanding his English aside, he is one very accomodating and eager to please Japanese bloke.
I'm a big sushi fan, so I asked his thoughts on Japanese food here in Singapore, and he said they're expensive and lousy. The best he said, guess what... were not even from Japan. According to him the best sushi places he knows are all in Thailand! Hmmmmmm, so I shall go to Thailand for my sushi one day... but for now, Sakae Sushi and Ichiban Boshi will do just fine, although I miss the Sushi Train in Sydney.
On our second day he served us New York cheesecake from Dome and on our third day he served us some unique cake from Singapore's all time best cake shop - Lana cakes. Luckily we were there for only a few days, any longer and we would either hate yummy cakes for the rest of our lives or get fat sooner than expected...
Get on the boat... Banana Boat!!!
To my dearest friend Hmm...
Advancement in Research & Technology has allowed for improvements in medical and healthcare benefits. Sad to say that it takes a marketing gimmick to introduce to an i***t the positive qualities of aloe vera. This product is used by many across the world for its affordable yet effective treatment. It comes in a no-frills bottle and I have never seen an advertisement for it.
Our body is one of the great creations of our god Allah the Almighty. It is a smart 'machine' that knows very well how to protect its vital internal organs. An unhealthy body is reflected - in one of many ways - through unhealthy skin or hair. These external parts of the body becomes dry, rejected and is shed from the body. Our smart body knows that these are not so vital parts, and thus rejects them first in an unhealthy body in order to protect the vital organs and maintain the rest of the body.
Simply put, it is all about taking care of oneself, be it spiritually or physically. In fact, that great man you quoted, which we all look up to, is one person who excels in these areas. So don't you try to be preachy here. It just so happens that Banana Boat weren't established yet back then! Putting on aloe vera is not discouraged nor against Islam. Instead, it is highly encouraged that we take good care of our physical bodies. If you are man enough, realize that it is not worth putting up with that ego trip of yours, wake up to reality and stop being an MCP. Otherwise, if you are a woman, I'm sorry for your jealousy coz I know I have smoother and better skin than you!!!
ps: I am not preaching you back, I am just blogging my thoughts. I'm contented with a no-frills gel which I put on only once a week. I don't need expensive Jean Yip (I think you do, you Jean Yip closet fan!!! Otherwise how in the world did you know they were having a promotion??? Quietly surfing Jean Yip's website for promotions from your room??? Or are you a member??? Wait! I think you're already a Jean Yip club member... is this your way of promoting your fav Jean Yip??? I don't even know what they do! Ya, so what do they do??? Skin care, slimming programs, bust enhancement for Amy Yip??? Are you their marketing and advertising manager... finding cheap ways of promoting your brand??? Whatever the case, I bet you've already tried Jean Yip, converted and in love with its services that you can't live without it, right??? Please, please, please, for your future's financial planning sake, save that $$$... just go to Mustafa Centre or Woolworth's and buy a small bottle of aloe vera gel!). If you can't afford one, I'll buy two for you! Sounds good???
Vanity Issues...
Stop!!! If you hate vain men do not carry on reading, it might turn you off! Otherwise, proceed. This entry is all about being superficial and shallow, about how we present our book covers. Met up with a long time poly gal friend at Thasevi JK on Friday night. Received compliments that I have gotten my chiselled face back. Yeay!My cardio efforts have not come in vain. It was the very reason I decided to go back to doing certain cardio exercises, to lose that chubby-ness on muah little cheekies. She said I look like when I was back in poly. That is of course not true, I am more than ten kilos heavier than then, I'm just happy that I've lost some fats on the cheekies. Missiom accomplished. Now time to maintain.
My partner says I'm very gay. The way I lean forward my body and gelek when I speak. My fascination with - aaarrggghhh I forgot what it's called. That thing you use to scrub your nails and they become polished and shiny. It is not that I'm overly eager to use them, I'm just amused and amazed that one's nails could be so polished like that 'handsome boy' the black honda civic... I can't live without lip balm. I have pleasure when putting on my banana boat aloe vera gel. I imitate bapoks speaking their deep voices in a sengau tone. Yes I am more metrosexual inside than I represent. If I could do it more I would. But then must maintain, right or not??? Must be man oso mah, otherwise how to get married??? Ichiban Boshi oredy...
But the cardio is making me skinny lah... aiyah... choices... chiselled face or skinny arms??? I'll decide...
Wakatepe out, need some beauty sleep!!!
I live alone Dear Allah, stay by my side In all my daily needs, be thou my guide... Grant me good health, for that indeed I pray To carry on my work from day to day... Keep pure my mind, my thoughts, my every deed Let me be kind, unselfish in my neighbour's need... Spare me from fire, from flood, malicious tongues, From thieves, from fear and evil ones... If sickness or an accident befall, Then humbly Allah, I pray, hear thou my call... And when I am feeling low, Or in despair, Lift up my heart and help me in my prayer... I live alone, Dear Allah, yet have no fear, Because I feel your presence ever near...
