It's A New Day... It's A New Life... For Me... Coz I'm Feeling... Good!!!
Another new beginning for me tomorrow... feeling the pressure... a little nervous... HR reminded to perform... coz the whole management team stick their necks out just to get me... they signed me back within 5 weeks of leaving the bank... which is against the normal company policy of 6 months... they even adhered to my pay request... I've been wondering... really... the past five weeks when they kept calling & asking my preferences... why me???... why me???... God knows... I can only wonder...

Update
My five weeks holiday is coming to an end... sob sob... It has been fun bumming at home, well its never enuff... It was fun sending my wife to work in the morning, then going to my favourite coffeeshop in little Changi for breakie, taking my own sweet time sipping coffee while reading the papers at the coffeeshop. Then going home by 10am & take up my role as PCK at home, fixing and doing up the house as much as I could, having my afternoon naps, going to the gym in the afternoon & swimming at nights. Along the way managing to run the many errands long overdue. Life has never been this slow, well too bad the pace is gonna pick up again next week, coz I told HR that I can start next week. At least I've had a chance to refresh.
And my new job? Muahhahaha.... same company, just a different & more wide scoped role, less hours and better pay! It pays to be heard by important people within the organisation! My 100% record at job interviews still stands, and it was a mad scramble delaying my acceptance to the few offers while waiting for the others just so that I could take up the best offer. Applying for a job was much easier when I applied only one at a time, it was an easy decision, but when you get a few offers, choosing a job just became tougher than I thought.
Well, back to where I belong... :)
Update
Went to the Night Safari on Friday. For me it wasn't as exciting as it was when I went there years ago. We couldn't see all the animals coz it was dark & they were probably hiding somewhere in the trees or behind the bushes. We brought some foreign friends along & it is true what they said; that it was merely a night zoo, not a safari... the kind where the animals are roaming freely... hmmmmm... anyway I guess it is not a place for you to come back again and again, but nonetheless it was a good workout. I guess that's why we really need the IR to keep Singapore's economy going, to keep the tourists coming back, coz otherwise, we really have nothing much to offer...
On Saturday we watched the Fireworks Festival from a room on the 20th floor of The Oriental Hotel. It was the longest fireworks display I've ever seen. It was really good watching from that height, it was as if the fireworks were right in front of us. We could feel the hotel windows vibrating, we could see traffic on the ECP stopped to a standstill, we could see the massive crowd along the esplanade, the tongkangs in the bay, we saw where the launch pads were, it was unbelievable the fireworks were even launched from underwater in the bay...!
Going for a concert at the Victoria Theatre tonight... yeay... can't wait!
