Thursday - Read an article about Murphy's Law in the papers. Scientists have finally come up with an equation to calculate Murphy's Law. Yes, it can be calculated!!!
Friday - Wished the scientists came up with the equation earlier, then I would have been able to apply the equation to my situation. Had a first hand pratical on Murphy's Law.
1) My group assignment got lost in the mail. Project mate had sent it the previous night. Didn't receive it till 3.30pm.
2) Tried calling her from 8am but couldn't get through coz she was working whole day.
3) Printed my documents (3 separate assignments in all), found mistakes, so had to edit and reprint.
4) @ 4.20pm in the library computer lab, sent my documents for printing. Printer got jammed. I was 2nd in the queue. Assignment was due at 4.30pm.
5) 4.25pm, library staff was still trying to fix the printer.
6) Ran to Fauzi in the main computer area, asked him to print for me. I was 4th in the printing queue, fine.
7) 1st person in the queue (a middle age lady) had trouble swiping her ID card. Reader couldn't read her card and balance. She was swiping it all but the right side and directions. Helped her.
8) My turn, swiped my card - INSUFFICIENT FUNDS!!! Didn't have coins with me to top-up, had borrowed $2 from Fauzi earlier to top up but used it all up in the earlier print.
9) Ran back to the earlier printer, my documents were already printed and someone had left it on the printer. Took it and ran back to the computer lab.
10) Found groupmate already stapled all 3 earlier print with mistakes. Had to undo.
11) 3 of us in the group but there were 4 signatures on all 3 cover sheets. Each cover sheet then had a cancelled signature.
12) Ran all the way from library to McKinnon building and up the stairs, my legs were like jelly and I was panting heavily. Never ran since I broke my ankle, it was stiff, painful and uncomfortable but I forced myself to do it.
13) Reached the submission office 5 minutes late, assignments were already collected, missed the deadline. DAMN!!! Frustrations...
Sat outside the library waiting for Fauzi, his was due at 5pm and he was rushing through it. Saw students running in and out of the library... heheheheh funny sight!!! It is the first time in 2 years that I see students running anxiously everywhere, and I was one of them...
Anyone care to have some practical on Murphy's Law???
